I was raised on a working farm by schoolteacher parents, so I understand you have to earn your way…values of hard work, respect for other people, and self-sufficiency are drivers for me. I’m trying to fly at the 30,000 feet level as Managing Partner. I’ve always thought the best management style is to be involved and listen enough to understand the barriers for success and help knock them down. The barriers we find are often in different areas: finance, technology, internally, etc. so I’m constantly trying to identify and remove those.
Undergraduate degree in engineering with an MBA, but nearly 20 years of entrepreneurial experience largely in the logistics industry. I feel the technical background of engineering often lends a different and more analytical view to the logistics industry.
